About me
Hi! I'm Marta, a printmaker living in the south of England. I love exploring the infinite possibilities of printmaking, especially linocuts, and I also love playing with drypoint etching, cyanotypes and wood engraving.

I studied BA Art History (2015) and that's how I was introduced to linocuts. I have always been a hands-on person, so I quickly found myself carving and printing after lectures to really understand how linocuts work.

I have learned several printmaking techniques over the years by attending various courses and learning from the experts, and also by experimenting on my own (which involves many "argh" and "yay!" moments!).

My prints are heavily influenced by comics, cartoons and by my immediate surroundings.

I am also a workshop facilitator currently offering "sun prints" (cyanotypes) and linoprinting workshops in Worthing (Sussex, England).

Bringing easy printmaking techniques to everybody is the aim.
I am a firm believer of using creativity as a form of self-development due to the amount of curiosity, lateral-thinking and problem-solving involved in any creative process.

I am a member of the West Hove Print Club (Hove, Sussex) where I often print the larger linocuts.
